The Atlantic Guard is a compilation of lab-created, super-powered creatures, humanoids, and constructs that are programmed to defend the Atlantic Kingdom by Dr. Dolph, otherwise known as the ersatz kingdom’s ruler, “King Dolphin”.
The Guard was first seen in action in the late 1990s when several 'illegal' European ships' crews, dumping chemicals and garbage in the Atlantic Ocean, were viciously killed by the Atlantic Guard. The ships were taken by the Atlantic Kingdom as recompense for their crews' illegal actions.
Notably, the Guard has at oft times, come ashore in New York City, London, Boston and Lisbon. They stated they were ‘diplomatic emissaries’ and spouted about their 'diplomatic immunity' for any and all arrestable offenses any of the Guard did while ashore.
Over the years, the Atlantic Guard has engaged several superheroes and superhero groups (including a couple super-villain groups), with the Guard always breaking from the fight at the orders of the Atlantic Kingdom’s ‘King’ Dolphin. One such encounter with the Guard’s most vicious member, Barracuda, left a superhero paralyzed and fighting for her life for weeks.
The Guard has not been spotted over the last few months. Intelligence reports, however, show signs of the Atlantic Kingdom's troops amassing along the United States eastern seaboard. As it stands, most of the world’s hopes this massing doesn't lead to any form of invasion or conflict, especially when diplomatic negotiations at the United Nations have started leaning towards recognizing the Atlantic Kingdom as a sovereign nation.
The Atlantic Guard consists of nearly a dozen or so lab-created, mutated, or constructed beings or automotons. King Dolphin has exclusive control over each and every one of them through implants, programming and/or genetic engineering. These Guardsmen will fight and/or defend the Atlantic Kingdom without hesitation. The leader of the Atlantic Guard is King Dolphin, but in his absence, Barracuda leads as the Guard's senior officer.

Members of the Atlantic Guard
Dwayne "Sandy" Sampson
Dwayne "Sandy" Sampson, once a drugged-out, surfer-by-day, thief-and-murderer-by-night, this beach gang thug was abducted by King Dolphin’s minions and changed into "Actinia".
King Dolphin experimented on him, combining the surfer’s DNA with that of a sea anemone called Actinia. Actinias are known for their poisonous neurotoxins they inject into their victims, causing their prey temporary paralysis. King Dolphin’s experiment with the DNA fusion between the surfer and the Actinia provided an incredibly powerful and poisonous being.
Actinia can emit and project sprays of neurotoxins from his body, mouth or hands. Above water, he can project the spray out from his hands to nearly 15 feet away. By design, physical contact with Actinia will transfer a layer of the neurotoxins onto a victim’s exposed skin, causing human paralysis for 1 and 10 hours, depending on size and endurance. An overdose of the neurotoxins can kill a person (once reported that a normal man who was in a head lock by Actinia for over 15 seconds, died from the toxins). Along with his toxic powers, he can also choose to form a gel ball that can aid in healing a person to a certain degree, especially against toxins. In addition, Actinia can swim at great speed (20 knots), breath underwater, see in absolute darkness as well as normal light, and has a Sea Anemone’s Basal Disc system in his feet and hands, allowing him to ‘stick’ to things, such as walls. With the basal Disc on his feet, he does not suffer from slamming attacks, since he roots himself to the ground, so long as the ground does not uproot with him.
Although still controlled by King Dolphin, his surfer-punk attitude and demeanor still make up his being. He will aggressively taunt others to attack him, allowing him to poison his victims at close range. His surfer-punk vernacular is still a feature on this very dangerous and deadly DNA-modified humanoid.
Kyle "Killa" Collins
Barracuda is the product of King Dolphin, the mad ruler of the Atlantic Kingdom, as well as a mad geneticist and scientist. King Dolphin took the drowning body of psychotic serial killer Kyle "Killa" Collins and fused him with cyborg implants as well as the DNA of a Great Barracuda.
Controlled by King Dolphin, Barracuda leads the Atlantic Guard when the King cannot lead on site.
Barracuda is a dangerous, loose cannon, that kills without mercy. He/it revels in patience, awaiting the prime opportunity to strike. When Barracuda does strike, he uses his hydraulically-operated metal jaw to bite down on a person and uses his claws to sever limbs from that person's torso, all in a frenzied, quick series of attacks. His remarkable strength makes him/it all the more difficult to fight. Due to his implants, Barracuda can swim up to 80 knots underwater, swimming like a torpedo in the water.
On land, all of his attributes are increased a whole level simply due to no water resistance. Barracuda's deepest weakness is underestimation of his enemies, yet his strength is in his patience, which usually results in his overreaction once an attack begins. Thus far, it has been reported that he has eaten the flesh of those he's killed. It has also been observed that as he fights, he gets stronger, some say even into a berserk rage.
Beware this villain; he WILL be the death of you.
She was brought to the Atlantic Kingdom's ruler, Dr. Dolph, otherwise known as the ersatz "King Dolphin". He ruled that she was crossing the channel without his permission, and as part of her sentence, she was to be experimented on. After several weeks of grueling torture and experimentation, King Dolphin created "Black Eel".
Her powers included hyper-swimming (over 100 knots), a frictionless body/suit coating, eyes that could see in the dark, breathing underwater, and an electrical discharge power. Her slender body also made it feasible for her to get in and out of tight place and small accesses, making her an ideal thief and infiltrator. She was also programmed to know several martial arts combat forms including Savate.
Although she is controlled by King Dolphin, there are reports that witnesses have seen her as the Black Eel swimming in and around the English Channel...
In 1971, American Damien Munson was a world-class Oil Rig Master Diver who earned the nickname "Helldiver" for some of his dangerous close calls while diving on the job.
On Damien's fateful 'last dive', his crew was contracted to drill off the coast of Maryland, when mutated sea creatures attacked the oil rig. In his deep sea dive suit, Damien fought off a few sea creatures with his gauntlet-mounted welder's torch, but was severely wounded and left to die underwater.
With seconds of air left, on the ocean floor, he spied a sunken, rippling arcane gateway. Upon entering, he found himself a captive in a realm of demons.
Over the last 41 years, he fought the realm’s demons, but at a great cost. The environment and the arcane nature of the realm slowly twisted Damien’s features into that of a demon. After a last chance assault at freedom, Damien challenged the Lead Demon, Herlodzt, and won in combat, making Damien the new 'master' of the demon realm.
Upon existing the realm, he swam for nearly a day until he reached the shores of Washington DC. There, his demonic looks frightened the populace. Police swarmed him, dying in the process. At one point, Damien summoned his ‘pet’ demons out through the ground to fight alongside him. During the battle, his pet demons were killed and Damien was severely injured. He ran back into the sea, barely alive. There, one of the Atlantic Kingdom’s minions took Damien’s unconscious body to one of the Kingdom’s outposts. There, he was taken care of and healed back to health. When Damien awoke, he was angered at America’s reaction to him and swore a blood vengeance against them and the rest of the world. King Dolphin, monarch of the Atlantic Kingdom, offered Damien refuge and safe haven while there, so long as he assisted his “Atlantic Guard” in defending the kingdom should the need arise. Damien agreed and made a blood oath with King Dolphin. That blood oath, for a demon, if broken, would result in Damien’s immediate death through arcane means.
“Helldiver”, as he now calls himself, continues to hold up to his blood oath to King Dolphin. He has also sworn that , should the need arise, Helldiver would supplant the Atlantic Kingdom’s army with hundreds of thousands of demons…all at his command. King Dolphin not only has his aquatic army, but through Helldiver, he has an additional army of demons…all for him to command!

Kelp is a creature created and grown by the mad scientist and ruler of the Atlantic Kingdom, King Dolphin.
This creature was originally a theoretical idea concocted by King Dolphin to simply expand a pod of kelp and making it grow at 50x its own rate, to as to use Kelp as a weapon to block off waterways, ensuring the ships propellers for ships and subs would get bogged under from the fast growing Kelp What happened instead was the creature that was created. Not only is it alive, but it can grow Kelp and any other related sea growth at nearly 500x its own rate.
It has rudimentary intelligence, allowing it to understand verbal and hand signal commands It is being educated more each day, and should be up to a 3rd grade reading level by the end of the year.
It is highly protective of the members of the Atlantic Guard, creating tons upon tons of Kelp to hold and immobilize its victims. It also has the ability to cause the Kelp to instantly wither and die.
Because of its plant-like body, it can receive massive amounts of damage. So long as even one part of him remains, he can grow himself back.
Several years ago, the mad Dr. Dolph, current ruler of the Atlantic Kingdom, discovered a teenage girl named Kyla Washington, clinging to the remnants of a raft off of Cuba. Sharks were starting to attack her. King Dolphin swooped in and rescued her on a whim. He took her to his underwater capital of Atlantia. In Atlantia, she became a caged zoo specimen, one for all of the Atlantic Kingdom subjects to view and learn about. After a year or two, King Dolphin became infatuated with her, finally giving her the freedom to walk about the city as a refugee. All the while, the teenage girl had been working on a way to escape, even to include seducing King Dolphin enough so as to get access to places that would allow her to escape. Over time, he eventually began courting and making advances on her. She would instead tease him further. One night, King Dolphin decided he was going to pop the question and maker her his queen. That was the same night she decided to make an escape. She killed two guards and tried to runaway in an underwater skimmer. She was easily captured and brought before the King. Outraged, King Dolphin instead took her to his lab and conducted one of his famous DNA hybrid experiments on her. Using the DNA of a Sea Urchin, he fused it with her DNA, mutating and reconstructing her into "Lady Urchin". As with all of his experiments, he planted bio engineered mind control into her, making her subservient to his will.
Lady Urchin has the capability to, on command, exposed several dozen long thin spike-like spines from all parts of her body. Each of these spines contained a nuerotoxin that would overload one's nervous system, immobilizing them for several minutes to an hour...or even killing them. Her purplish skin provides for greater physical protection from the crushing depths of the deep. She can swim at about 20 knots for a short period of time, and has black eye membranes that protect her vision while also allowing her to see in the darkest depths. As part of her hybrid form, she also has a form of regeneration, allowing her to heal rapidly and grow back any lost limbs (other than the head). She is highly agile and has been programmed with several forms of hand-to-hand combat.
Since her recapture and change into Lady Urchin, King Dolphin has slowly taken to her once again. Although she has no free will, he speaks to her and keeps her close to him most of the time. Most of the Atlantic Kingdom's subjects believe that he still loves her, bunt none of them would ever dare to say anything like that, for fear of instant death at the hands of the King himself.

A robotic construct made by the infamous King Dolphin of the Atlantic Kingdom.
Narwhal is a programmed killing machine. It has its own autonomous brain for independent operations, however, King Dolphin can override its autonomous programs easily.
Narwhal has remarkable strength and hyper-swimming (over 80 knots). He does not require to eat, drink or breath. Its video and audio receptors can operate at the deepest depths and in the darkest waters. It cannot be blinded with flash attacks. It can withstand temperatures from -100 degrees F to over 1000 degrees F. Its strong, durable leathery skin covers a titanium shell, proving amazing protection from any and all physical assaults. It can also withstand unearthly amounts of electrical damage and is completely resistant to mental attacks. It is, however, made of metal, and any trained magnetic hero or villain could easily control it with their powers.
The Titanium 'horn' on the top of his head has been used to puncture holes in ships and subs when Narwhal swims into them at hyper-velocity. As a result, at its fastest underwater speed, it can puncture 4 inch of solid steel.
Although damaged and rebuilt several times, Narwhal is still one of the strongest and most dangerous of King Dolphin's creations.

Thresherette was an unknown woman who was found floating in a life raft at sea off of the Canadian coastline; a woman who would later become of the the deadliest hybrids amongst the Atlantic Kingdom's "Atlantic Guard".
Several years ago, the mad Dr. Dolph, premiere world bio engineer turned despotic genetic madman who now goes by King Dolphin, was presented a near-dead woman by one of his subject-minions. He used her in his mad experiments in recombinant DNA, fusing her human DNA with that of a Thresher Shark. She metaporhasized into the being simply known as "Thresherette". As a result of her change, she can perform hyper-swimming at nearly 80 knots, breath underwater, has a secondary membrane over her eyes and ears to allow her to dive at depths over 1000 feet, she can seen in darkened waters, has a simple form of sonar/environmental sensory system to detect anything at a range to near 10 miles, and has an excellent leathery shark like hide, protecting her from any forms of physical damage. In addition to all this, King Dolphin imbedded retractable stainless steel claws into her forearms and changed her human dental work to sharp metal teeth. She is quick in reflexes and very agile. Her excellent strength allows for her incredible leaping powers out of the water and allows her to left over 500 lbs effortlessly.
Overall, Thresherette is very quite. She rarely says anything. Her black shark-like eyes show no emotion or indication of attack...until she attacks, and like a shark, her eyes roll over white. Controlled by King Dolphin's bioengineering, she follows his and her fellow Atlantic Guard's orders without question. Although her fellow Atlantic Guardsman, barracuda, is notorious for each the flesh of his victims, Thresherette will rarely 'eat' in public, but will instead go to a remote location to consume her enemies.
